The REUBEN project aimed to develop a framework for managing and utilizing knowledge in human-robot collaboration (HRC) scenarios. It tackled challenges in semantic representation and distinguishing shared and individual beliefs. The study later focused on belief-space exploration in task planning, enhancing the HATP/EHDA planner to better account for human and robot belief states.

  • The goal of the REUBEN project was to create a framework for representing and managing knowledge and exploiting that knowledge base for planning for human-robot collaboration (HRC) scenarios.
  • Tackle the difficulties in expressing and maintaining semantic knowledge while managing the distinction between the common ground and two beliefs of the human and robot partners each.
  • Address the challenges of effectively exploring belief space in a Human-Aware Task planning framework and generating plans with communication actions having referential capabilities.
